To call Bangkok a golf-mad city would be a gross understatement. In fact, the entire country in under golf’s spell and today boasts some of the world’s most beautiful courses. Of course, this affection might not be surprising given Thailand’s connection to Tiger Woods, whose mother is Thai. Look for the world’s most recognizable player to make an appearance or two every year. But even if Tiger is out of town, you can still play – just pick a course and prepare to tee off.

Royal Thai Army Sports Centre (Old and New Course)

Because these two courses, originally built for the Thai army, are so close to the city, they are both extremely popular. The Old Course is considered better and has been serving public and military players alike for 20 years. Our concierge will be happy to reserve a tee time for you; the first of each day is 6am.

Krungthep Kreetha

This beautiful course is part of a private club but it does accommodate guests. Don’t be fooled by the prettiness, though. The course is tricky, with many hidden water hazards, elevated greens, and trees alongside nearly every fairway. Once you’ve conquered it, enjoy a meal at the clubhouse, where the food is excellent.

Natural Park Ramindra

Located about an hour from Bangkok, this Jack Nicklaus-designed course provides many challenges to players, including bunker-surrounded greens and huge lakes. Look out for the 16th hole, where the green is on an island.
